"Tommy Stewart has been working with me since I moved back to Jacksonville after I graduated from ECU mid 2016. Since working with him I have competed at the 2016 and 2017 University Nationals totaling 200+ kgs in the 62 kg weight class and qualified for the 2016 American Open. I am currently on track to qualify and compete at the 2017 American Open Finals this December with Tommy’s help. Tommy’s greatest attribute is that he is a coach who cares about you as a person, not just as a client. He’s been there for all my meets since I’ve met him and he’s been a pleasure to work with. Tommy is an athlete first coach who is dedicated to helping you reach your goals. I highly recommend Tommy to anyone who is looking for programing and coaching in the sport of weightlifting. He has a positive effect on my success in weightlifting and I know he can do the same for others."

Rachel Baird

"Stewart Barbell has so much to offer the lifting community. Tommy is constantly studying movement, body mechanics, recovery, therapy, and lifting. His expertise does not end with classes and book knowledge.  I enjoyed working with Tommy for over a year. I have seen him implement what he has learned. He is willing to modify programming for injuries, explore options for therapy and recovery on an individual basis, and focus on form and technique before strength.  As I sought to improve in Olympic lifting, I trusted Stewart Barbell to correct my own form. Tommy is thorough, motivating, and knowledgeable – a great coach and friend."

Chris Petty

"We are only as good as the Coaches that help, and luckily for me I have had Coach Tommy to help me get better. His vast amount of knowledge for weight lifting has made me better every time. His ability to watch an athlete and make instant solid corrections is what sets him apart from others. Coach Tommy has made lifting enjoyable again for me."

Andrew Kuppers

"Coach Tommy is someone who truly has a love for weightlifting and  coaching. I have used his programming intermittently since 2016 and have  even had the pleasure of having him as my Coach for my very first USAW  meet. From the beginning of him coaching all the way to my first meet  and beyond he is always charismatic and eager to help in any way. One of  his biggest strengths I've seen is his keen eye for noticing even the  slightest problems and helping correct them and his ability to really  break down the movements and make everything understandable. I highly  recommend his coaching to anyone who has an interest in weightlifting.  It doesn't matter if you're just beginning or already an advanced lifter  in the search of programming, Coach Tommy can help."
